The Jena Project - Plate 11
JENA was never about race until the race traders Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and the Jena 6 brutal attackers found out a way to attack a white person and get away with was to play the race card. A white tree was not true. There were other trees to sit under. Why did the black students want to sit under that tree with these people? Those blacks that wanted to sit under that tree wanted to start trouble and they did.IamNeutral via youtube

The Jena Project is a remixed, visual analysis of online speech, as seen through a year's worth of comment threads and discussions of photographs and video made by Michael David Murphy during last summer's trials, protests, and marches for the Jena Six in Jena, Louisiana.

A mixed-media project, The Jena Project pulls back the curtain on America's "conversation on race", while mapping language from an up-close (and often binary) street-level perspective.
